When I run programs by wine, such as winecfg, the window that opens is of zero size. There is nothing but frame. I attach a screen-shot of what is opened what I run winecfg.

Do you have 3d desktop effects enabled, or anything else not standard?

I also upgraded wine to 1.1.44 before the wine upgrade it worked fine.

1. the directory .wine/drive_c/windows/Fonts/ is not created when first running wine.
2. when the fonts are missing nothing is showing (instead for example showing dots, squares or even spaces
