[Bug 22724] New: windows opened by wine has zero size, and cannot be resized

When I run programs by wine, such as winecfg, the window that opens is of zero
size. There is nothing but frame.
I attach a screen-shot of what is opened what I run winecfg.

Please try with fresh ~/.wine, and run the applications with explicit
'wine winecfg'.

created a new user with no .wine dir 
got same results

Something is wrong with your configuration, winecfg in gnome works just fine
here and for many other users.

Do you have 3d desktop effects enabled, or anything else not standard?

standard gnome that comes with FC12 (updated from fc11).

I also upgraded wine to 1.1.44
before the wine upgrade it worked fine.

Found the problem.

1. the directory .wine/drive_c/windows/Fonts/ is not created when first running
wine.

2. when the fonts are missing nothing is showing (instead for example showing
dots, squares or even spaces

I upgraded from the package coming with FC12 installation (1.1.38 I think)

I upgraded using:

yum --enablerepo=updates-testing upgrade wine

Compile Wine from source. FC packages includes some patches that are not
supported here.
