Summary: Wine crashes when an active X control is called Product: Wine Version: 1.3.28 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: proent1992@comcast.net
I upgraded from wine 1.3.27 to wine 1.3.28. Wine crashes when IE7 calls on an active X control in a web page. I tried a fresh install of wine and IE7 using wine tricks. I then tried built in wine IE and I get the same problem. I also tried a program that I know uses Active X and it also crashed wine.
Sorry I am only a user and not a programer.
Using OpenSuse 11.4 x86-64 with wine 32bit

--- Comment #3 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2013-11-13 16:48:16 CST --- This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for 2 years. Is this still an issue in current (1.7.6 or newer) wine? If so, please attach the terminal output in 1.7.6 (see http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log).

It's funny I herd from you today as I have been using crossover wine due to it being more stable running Internet Explorer 7 right up to crossover 13 with wine 1.7.4 and then it started crashing as well. I did a clean install of wine 1.7.6 this morning went to www.webselfstorage.com and IE7 froze on the first button I clicked on. The issue may also be related to java script as the site is heavy on that as well. There is a demo download on the site.
