--- Comment #1 from Vitaliy Margolen vitaliy@kievinfo.com 2007-10-19 20:41:51 --- One problem per bug report. What is the problem when you start this application besides an error message (what does it exactly say)? What is in the terminal (attach as a file).
What is the program anyway?
For problem #2 - install wine_gecko - run 'wine iexplore http://winehq.org' and click "install" when asked.

--- Comment #2 from Lane Campbell lane@zigzap.com 2007-10-20 14:07:01 --- The software is called Mailware http://www.mailware.com
It is mail order software that allows companies to track inventory, ship products and accept credit cards.
I think it relies heavily on Internet Explorer functions for its control panels.

I'm seeing problem 1, not sure if it affects anything or not. Native DCOM98 doesn't help it. Reporter, aside from problems 1 & 2, do you see any reduced functionality/other bugs to make you believe this ole error is causing any problems? FWIW, http://classicasp.aspfaq.com/general/why-do-i-get-80070057-errors.html this may help some ole guru.
Problem 2 is invalid, use wine iexplore http://www.winehq.org and the problem goes away.
Problem 3 I'm not seeing, can you give instructions to reproduce and/or a screenshot. What window manager are you using?

--- Comment #5 from Jim Hawking jehawking@yahoo.co.uk 2008-12-07 12:36:22 --- 6 monthly update. Using 1.1.10
Problem 1 still occurs.
Problem 2 does occur but only when I emulate a desktop. If I run it within my Linux desktop the icons are solid and secure. If I emulate a desktop (smaller than my real one), then the icons turn to the colour of the desktop background when I change the applications window size. They then re-appear if I run the cursor over them.
Problem 3. I think this is not a problem. When you maximise the child window, the child windows top border disappears and the maximise/minimise icons move to become part of the parent window's furniture. This seems just like Excel on Windows to me - so its either been solved or never was a problem.
