--- Comment #2 from TestSubject sirbubbles01@gmail.com --- I have the same problem. So does anyone who tries to play the game under wine. I've read that it's a problem of some sort with the game's dx9 mods which doesn't occur under dx10/11 in windows.

Anyway, the problem is that the player character appears to have shiny black skin no matter which skin tone is selected. Nothing can be done to alleviate this problem. I have ubuntu 14.10 x64, nvidia 346.16 and wine 1.7.31.

Last comment was 1.5 years ago and I confirmed that this was fixed, could this be closed?

Since there are no comments about you being able to reproduce the bug it is better to wait a bit more to see if one of the affected people can also confirm it is fixed.

On the other hand you could test in an older wine version to see if you can reproduce and then we could call it fixed.

I have flickering models. Unfortunately, I can not say if it's the same as the videos since all YouTube links are "broken".

Back in the days, I had black models too but I gave a try today with 5.8 (I can't install Wine 5.18 yet) and now models are correct but flickering. I tried to lower the graphics but the issue still remains.

Maybe fixed between 5.8 and 5.18, I don't know but 5.8 is not from 2017, it's way more recent so it should be fixed, judging by what Gijs Vermeulen said.
