version 7 of Family Tree Builder installs correctly, logs in to myfamily.com,
downloads genealogy information, but then crashes while trying to download
additional components.

This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for over a
year. Is this still an issue in current (1.7.37 or newer) wine? If so, please

The problem is that you tried with 1.6 series of wine, which is very old. You
shoud retry with 1.7 series.

Okay, finally got 1.7dev from Ubuntu repos, will try.

Now working. Thanks. Ubuntu repos are slow to update, as usual!
