This game runs fine under Vista, also XP, which it's intended for. However, with wine, I get a message says "The program gameclient.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to be closed" during start up, then the game quits. (gameclient.exe is the exectuble to start the game)

Don't do this. You need to install the game using Wine on your ext3/2 partition otherwise your bug is invalid.
