--- Comment #1 from Scall scall-ebr@prosemail.net --- I also experienced this same bug, and noticed this: if I disconnect the gamepad, the camera keeps spinning (with only mouse and keyboard connected; but the issue doesn't occur if I start the games without gamepad connected). @Anya: does it keeps spinning when you disconnect your gamepad, too?
Note:
* in some games it occurs with the Xbox 360 wired controller as well (but it only seems to occur with the DualShock 4 in games where you use the right analog stick to rotate the camera (it is like if the right analog stick were constantly tilted to the left; although in “Wine Control Panel -> Game Controllers -> Test Joystick” the Rx,Ry little square is centered when I don't touch the stick). * using Wine Staging 5.7 and 5.8 (I haven't tried with other versions yet) on Gentoo. * it doesn't occur with native Linux games or emulators.

--- Comment #2 from Anya animegirl@stronzi.org --- After disconnecting gamepad camera does not spin anymore, tested with wine 5.6 from lutris.

--- Comment #3 from Anya maniikarabera@protonmail.ch --- Camera does not spin when using wine with this patches (like proton): https://github.com/Frogging-Family/wine-tkg-git/blob/master/wine-tkg-git/win...

--- Comment #4 from soredake gi85qht0z@relay.firefox.com --- Still happens with 5.20-staging

--- Comment #5 from soredake gi85qht0z@relay.firefox.com --- Wine-staging 6.0, same.

--- Comment #6 from Scall scall-ebr@prosemail.net --- @soredake: I recently tried one of the games where I experienced the issue in a new prefix with case-insensitive C drive (https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=Wine-Staging-4.10-Released -- not sure if that matters), using Wine Staging 6.4, and the issue has gone away.

--- Comment #7 from soredake gi85qht0z@relay.firefox.com --- Nothing changed for me with wine-staging 6.4
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=48881
--- Comment #8 from Scall scall-ebr@prosemail.net --- I found out that the issue has only gone away for games where you use the “right analog STICK” to spin the camera: in some games using the “right analog TRIGGER” (R2) the issue persists. Basically it is like if R2 were constantly held down, even if in “Wine Control Panel -> Game Controllers -> Test Joystick” it is not like that.
In “Comment 1” I only wrote about the right analog stick because I forgot that in some games triggers (L2 and R2 for the DualShock 4) are used instead.
So this was my experience: Wine Staging 5.7, 5.8: spinning camera issue in both games using the right analog STICK and the right analog TRIGGER (R2) to spin the camera. Wine Staging 6.4, 6.5: spinning camera issue ONLY in games using the right analog TRIGGER (R2) to spin the camera.
