Created an attachment (id=26084) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=26084) Window is fully visible where it spawned
I'm using wine 1.1.38 on Gentoo amd64. I noticed that when I open a chat window for steam, if I try to move it the window becomes partially "hidden behind the background".
It's only fully visible where it spawned.
I'm uploading some screenshots to illustrate the bug.

--- Comment #4 from Casey Jones jonescaseyb@gmail.com 2010-02-07 21:58:34 --- I forgot to mention that the same thing occurs without the virtual desktop. But to answer your question, it does this before running a game or anything.
It happens as soon as Steam is started. I even had this behavior with the login window.

--- Comment #6 from Matteo Hausner matteo.hausner@gmail.com 2010-02-14 14:50:28 --- This seems to be a regression from older versions of wine. Additionally to this bug there seems to be a problem with drawing the right mouse click menu of the Systray Steam-Icon.

--- Comment #10 from Alexey Loukianov mooroon2@mail.ru 2010-02-15 18:06:56 --- I can confirm this bug to happen with Wine 1.1.38 and latest steam client as of 15/02/2010. Moving window not only chops the parts that extent to an area that wasn't covered by Steam window just after the startup, but also leads to a strange but funny effect of step-by-step disappearing of the whole steam client window starting from its bottom edje. It just gets hidden in a slices from down upwards in a few seconds after the attempt to move a team client window.
This behavior was introduced in 1.1.38, as 1.1.37 works great with the same steam client installation.
It was tested on 32-bit Fedora 8 + Wine 1.1.38 compiled from sources.

Commented out all lines with calls to PaintDesktop(). No success, bug still in here.
