Summary: MS Money 2000: crashes on File>Open Product: Wine Version: 1.3.20 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: blocker Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: andrea.vai@unipv.it CC: julliard@winehq.org
Created an attachment (id=34908) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=34908) Crash output
The program crashes if I choose File>Open from the menu. The program used to work before, so I performed a regression test, and the result is attached.
Please be patient with me because I am not an expert. Please tell me if the bug is going to be solved. It is really blocking the app, MS Money 2k, which was indeed working fine in wine.

--- Comment #5 from Sascha Nemecek sascha.n@gmail.com 2011-08-12 17:29:50 CDT --- During my last online research I found the following ubuntu specific bit of information, which I want to share with you: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1752736.
I did some tests on two machines of mine and preloading another version of libfontconfig.so.1 (i386) seems to solve the crash.
On a 32bit system: Using the i386 version of libfontconfig from maveric or oneiric[1], I'm now able to run MS Money 2000 again. I encountered no major problems.
On a 64bit system: Using the amd64 version of libfontconfig from maveric, natty or oneiric crashes money on startup. Using the i386 version of maveric or oneiric[1], I'm now able to run MS Money 2000 again. But new problems occur: 1. The overview is broken. All my accounts show the sums like "613,905,465,343,626.65". Man, that would be really nice :-). 2. The date format in the account details uses the wrong format (m/d/yyyy insteat of dd.mm.yyyy).
That looks like a localization problems to me. So maybe those two problems are not releated to the initial bug. But I'm not sure.
I hope this information helps to shed some light into this problem/bug.
