When starting "wine flatout.exe" the following error occurs:

"A debugger has been detected"

the game does not run anymore.

- On previous versions the game ran perfectly.
- I use a "no CD" cracked exe.
- Other programs still work fine.

Thanks for the fast response!

When the Fedora 15 repo is updated with the latest version of wine I will
ofcourse do a test.

Last week I upgraded from Fedora 14 to 15 and Flatout still ran fine, only when
wine was updated to version 1.3.20 Flatout stopped working.

Other programs like Warblade (demo), GTA Vice City & Demo's by Farbrauch still
work fine.

My Wine is updated to version 1.3.21, but Flatout 1 still does not run.

B.T.W. I run a 32bit version of Wine (wine-1.3.21-1.fc15.i686) on 64bit Fedora
15.

I can't reproduce the problem here. Tested under 1.3.21 and
1.3.22-203-gac90c1b. Works fine, but there are differences:

* I have Flatout 1 from Flatout Gold Edition (combines Fl. 1st + 2nd)
 * No need for crack, because this Fl.1 works without DVD

As you are the only one seeing this problem, you should follow advice in
comment #2 and perform Regression Test.

Hello Wylda,

Great to hear Flatout runs on your system, but on mine it stopped running :(

It could very well be the nocd-crack I use. Flatout was one of those programs
that always ran very well on Wine. I can't remember it did not run.

I already downloaded the Wine source using GIT, but now I have to install a LOT
of other packages to get Wine to compile...this will take a while to figure
out.

I wish I could just install a pre-1.3.20 Wine using rpm to do some
regression-testing...

Do you also use Fedora 15 64bit with 32bit Wine? Or do you use a different
distro?

Nope. I use Debian Squeeze 32bit.

Wine has some Wiki where are mentioned packages needed for different distros.
Don't give that up, looking for regressions is fun and you won't be sorry :-D

BTW: Debian can handle source package dependency, so one command should
automatically download and install all the needed packages before building from
source. Hope Fedora has something similar.

Wine just got upgraded to version 1.3.23 and guess what?

Flatout 1 runs perfectly again!
