Summary: Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 1 (GRAW1): Crash - CreateTexture call failed. Product: Wine Version: 1.1.18 Platform: PC-x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: directx-d3d AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: lindevel@gmx.net
When running Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 1 (GRAW1) I get a textbox with the following content, after starting campaign game. (Game goes into "Loading" screen, after starting the first mission of the campaign, and during loading or shortly afterwards presents this message.)
--- Crash in application version: grpcrc1.02

--- Comment #2 from Vitaliy Margolen vitaliy@kievinfo.com 2009-03-28 13:06:43 --- Please do not paste huge chunks of text!!!
Try setting video memory size manually via registry (as string value in MB): [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Direct3D] VideoMemorySize="256"

--- Comment #3 from Dennis Schridde lindevel@gmx.net 2009-03-28 13:17:10 --- Can I somehow check that I placed the registry setting at the correct place and it was detected correctly by wine?
When I select "Auto Detect" in the "Advanced" section of the video config menu in GRAW, it will tell me that my video card is not supported, but set all settings to "High". When I leave textures at high, I will run into this error otherwise into bug #17879. (Which probably is already a little bit further down the road.)

--- Comment #4 from Dennis Schridde lindevel@gmx.net 2009-03-28 13:18:36 --- PS: The behaviour does not change when setting the mentioned registry key.

This bug turns into a full crash with backtrace when patching the game to version 1.35.

Shortened the log by removing extraneous spaces. (Konqueror seems to have its issues with the edit page...)
