Bug #: 30086 Summary: Heavy slow down X with Qt Product: Wine Version: 1.4-rc6 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: alpha_one_x86@first-world.info Classification: Unclassified
Hello, when I compil Qt or Qt program with wine, X use ~15% of my cpu, and have like 1s with normal activie 1s where all freeze (mouse, X at 100%, ...) No problem with other application like game, or 2D application.
To reproduct it: Install the Qt SDK. Compil a big application (in my case http://files.first-world.info/ultracopier/0.3.0.3/ultracopier-src-0.3.0.3.ta...), and see the cpu, move the mouse, ... it's easy to see, all freeze at fixed interval. I'm with the open source drivers for my ati radeon. 1 year ago I problem don't exists.

--- Comment #2 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2012-03-05 13:16:42 CST --- Terminal output? If you use an older wine (say 1.2.3) does the problem go away? That should help narrow down if the regression is in wine or in your drivers/X/elsewhere.

--- Comment #4 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2012-03-05 15:43:27 CST --- We need to know what changed to cause the problem. Try older wine with current other stuff, to see if the problem goes away. The problem may be your video drivers or something else.

--- Comment #6 from Jerome Leclanche adys.wh@gmail.com 2012-03-05 15:52:26 CST --- If you are positive this bug did not happen in a previous version of wine (regardless how old it is), we need a regression test, it will help fix the bug a lot: http://wiki.winehq.org/RegressionTesting

--- Comment #7 from alpha_one_x86@first-world.info 2012-03-05 16:54:04 CST --- It's bug than every one can see, and I have not lot of time to test it. I'm working hard on other open source projet. The bug can appends with proprietary drivers, some user need test it.
