--- Comment #3 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2008-01-29 17:53:04 --- Is there a demo/download of this available that shows the same problem?

--- Comment #4 from affect afffect@gmail.com 2008-01-29 22:51:39 --- Actually Back to War is an addon to European wars, the demo can be found here http://www.gamershell.com/download_4217.shtml, but I couldnt reproduce same bug with it because its just crashing with "unhandled page fault" error

--- Comment #5 from Krzysztof Tyszecki krzychoocpp@gmail.com 2008-02-23 13:00:06 --- "Cossacks: Euopean Wars" are affected by this bug too. In wine 0.9.55 I got black screen with gdi (default) renderer and white with opengl one.
Wine 0.9.56 Solved this partially, game now renders (with gdi and opengl), but screen is updated only when you click menu items. I've uploaded screenshots and test data for European Wars, but they are not accepted yet.

--- Comment #6 from Krzysztof Tyszecki krzychoocpp@gmail.com 2008-03-01 16:40:11 --- I investigated this. It seems there was problem with RealizePalette function. Since this commit: http://source.winehq.org/git/wine.git?a=commit;h=61c82f8069a34426646f304c2c9... game renders (with gdi renderer), but that's not end of problems, game does not redraw - I reported bug 11782.

--- Comment #7 from affect afffect@gmail.com 2008-03-09 03:33:03 --- it did render for me some time ago in git, but not in 56 and 57

--- Comment #8 from Rico kgbricola@web.de 2008-03-09 04:48:16 --- Could you run a regression test: http://wiki.winehq.org/RegressionTesting
@Krzysztof Tyszecki Is this the result from a regression test http://source.winehq.org/git/wine.git?a=commit;h=61c82f8069a34426646f304c2c9... or is this just a guess?

--- Comment #11 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2008-06-09 14:51:28 --- Is this still an issue in current (1.0-rc4 or newer) wine?

--- Comment #12 from affect afffect@gmail.com 2008-06-10 11:24:59 --- Now I get more than blank screen - I see the main menu but still can't see the mouse moving, and the screen is being redrawn only when I manage to choose some menu item. Tested in rc4 with both opengl and gdi

--- Comment #13 from Kyryll A Mirnenko mirya@zoc.com.ua 2008-08-15 06:28:08 --- I've got a truncated demo version of the very first Cossacs (about '99), it doesn't work though - get a page fault from the game itself during loading. The game doesn't get far enough even to display the first menu. FreeBSD-7.0-p3 + wine-1.1.2 from ports. This game version is known to work well on XP (all SP), ME and 98.
