Bug ID: 57559 Summary: Chessbase 17 database table background and non-selected entries rendered in black Product: Wine Version: 10.0-rc2 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: dav75uk@yahoo.co.uk Distribution: ---
Created attachment 77638 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=77638 Screenshot of the issue
On the main database selection screen the database table (left of screenshot) is rendered incorrectly. The background is black when white would be expected. In addition, non-selected entries (above the one that is visible) are also not showing. On the right hand side, the games are showing, but where there are no more entries (there is only one in this database) it is also being rendered with a black background instead of white.

--- Comment #1 from Fabian Maurer dark.shadow4@web.de --- Did that work with older wine versions, or was that always broken?
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=57559
--- Comment #2 from David dav75uk@yahoo.co.uk --- It's always been broken, at least in the 9.x series. There are a lot of issues with the software and wine at the moment, so gradually raising more issues as things get fixed. This is mostly an annoyance rather than a showstopper.

--- Comment #3 from David dav75uk@yahoo.co.uk --- This appears fixed in 10.3 - can be closed.

--- Comment #4 from David dav75uk@yahoo.co.uk --- Working now (10.3)

--- Comment #5 from Nikolay Sivov bunglehead@gmail.com --- Is there a demo version that could be used to reproduce? I'd like to find out which change fixed it.
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=57559
--- Comment #6 from David dav75uk@yahoo.co.uk --- Unfortunately not. The CBReader give-away doesn't suffer from the problem which suggests they changed the code sometime in between. ChessBase also are not sympathetic to wine as they are worried that they'd have to support their application on other platforms.
I'd be happy to jump on a zoom call if you wanted to take a look.
(note the issue of the scrollbar not being drawn on first display bug 47086 still exists so is unrelated to this fix)
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=57559
--- Comment #7 from David dav75uk@yahoo.co.uk --- Also the bug (not sure if I raised it or mentioned it) that the 'table background' behind the board wasn't being drawn either seems to have been fixed suggesting that this was probably the same issue.
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=57559
--- Comment #8 from Nikolay Sivov bunglehead@gmail.com --- I was wondering if 1b747c29ffe fixed it, and zoom call is not going to help with that. You'd need a regression test and rebuilding a few times to verify.

--- Comment #9 from David dav75uk@yahoo.co.uk --- Yes it was. I built 10.3 and deleted the addition in that commit and it reverts back to broken. Restoring, build, fixes it.
