Submitted bug reports have a field for links to AppDB entries, but the
information cannot be entered from bugzilla when filing the bug. Reporters have
to log into the AppDB after having created a bug report and create the link
from there. Many people don't bother to do this (to a newcomer, it's not even
clear that this should be done), and it is a PITA for those who do. A forum
user recently took it upon himself to add the appropriate bug links to the
AppDB, and found that over 500 were needed.

The total count was 625 bugs linked to the respective wine appdb out of 2164
bugs that I looked at. Which was made easier because of Dan Kegals kind report

Just did a spot check and can see that from the bugs submitted higher than "Bug
16203" this enhancement is badly needed.

Obviously still a hugr problem.

AppDB entries like Starcraft 2 has a huge number of bugs attached to it. Dógg
knows how many duplicates there are.

An alternative to adding a field to bugzilla that was mentioned in the recent
discussion on wine-devel would be to add a reminder to add the link to the
AppDB, either on the bug submission form or on the page confirming the bug was
submitted. That would at least address the problem of new users not even
knowing this was expected, and I imagine is much easier to implement and
maintain than changing the bugzilla code.
