[Bug 9379] New: Company of Heroes does not detect DirectX

When I try to start company of heroes, it gives me an error in a dialog box
that says it cannot find the proper hardware drivers or DirectX.

I've attached a screenshot of the error.

Try 'wine RelicCOH.exe -minvidmem 0' Fixed the error for me..

Terminal error output

It displays this output, then has a dialog box with Failed to find supported
hardware rendering device. Verify that your DirectX is properly installed and
that you have the latest drivers.

What do I set it to? I haven't spent any time in the registry so I am very

Just set it as the binary value? I'm also not sure how much memory my video
card has because I don't remember the system specs terminal command.

In MB, e.g., if 64 mb, set to 64.

If you're on Linux, 'lscpi -v' should tell you. Other os's may be different.

Nope, it didn't solve the problem. It seems to have a problem with whatever
emulates directx in wine. I don't know why it says that there isn't hardware
support, unless there really aren't a diverse list of alerts in COH.

Let me know if you need any more outputs.
