Summary: Happy Cloud can't download game Product: Wine Version: 1.3.19 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: dank@kegel.com
Their plugin seems to install ok. winetricks ie6 or ie7 are needed for the web page to show up (ie7 looks better), you can request an account and log in ok, and you can "purchase" one of the free demos in that web page, but when you try to play, it complains
"The game requires that you have the latest version of Happy Cloud installed."

--- Comment #3 from Frédéric Delanoy frederic.delanoy@gmail.com 2013-07-11 08:33:17 CDT --- Where do you download that thing?
The http://thehappycloud.com/ URL you mentioned only displays the # of gamers, but doesn't provide any download link

--- Comment #4 from Dan Kegel dank@kegel.com 2013-07-11 10:33:49 CDT --- http://thehappycloud.com/home shows you more.
http://web.archive.org/web/20130302021527/http://thehappycloud.com/ shows you a bit more.
I suspect they're not working at the moment.

--- Comment #5 from Dan Kegel dank@kegel.com 2013-07-11 21:46:42 CDT --- I managed to download their installer by clicking on a 'download demo' link. http://dld.thehappycloud.com/hc4321depl0y/Setup_HappyCloud_1.374.exe 4ae4c36bc601eba4237ca4160fea4ad4dee51fe8 Setup_HappyCloud_1.374.exe
With 'winetricks ie7', installing their plugin seems to succeed (though without an ok dialog at the end). wine 'C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore' http://thehappycloud.com/home did show the site and let me log in and click on a game, but then when I clicked on 'free demo', ie7 locked up; the log showed err:seh:setup_exception_record stack overflow 860 bytes in thread 002e eip f74ff977 esp 015c0fd4 stack 0x15c0000-0x15c1000-0x16c0000
I then used wine-1.4.1, and it was able to 'purchase' the demo.
After that, I logged in again with wine-1.6-rc4, and the demo now had a 'play demo' button... that didn't do anything. Saw lots of this warning: fixme:shell:DllGetClassObject failed for CLSID={871c5380-42a0-1069-a2ea-08002b30309d} (Internet)
So it's regressed since 1.4.1.
