wine-1.8-rc4 running on Arch Linux (Kernel: 4.2.5-1)

Everything works fine except the file Browser must be used with keyboard. But
the problem is the update: it brakes the whole installation complaining about
missing administrator privileges. The Program is unusable afterwards!

Update: I removed everything and applied the winetricks commands from the
AppDB, still no luck, same error during update.

And another update: it works without errors with wine --version:

wine-1.7.55

wine1.8 does not work. Both are from the following repository:

ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa

OK, last update for this year :-)

wine1.8 works, too.

The problem is caused by the selection in the installer where the documents
created by the program will be stored (called "Steuerfallordner"). I've always
chosen an nfs mounted share on a QNAP server.

Leaving the default option lets the update finish without error. The setting
can later be changed in the program (hopefully without breaking the update tool
again).

Maybe something to note in the AppDB article...

I have still no luck here. The 'install log' for my console output

The error message blobs up at these lines:

err:msi:ACTION_PatchFiles Failed to apply patch to file: L"sse.exe"
err:msi:ITERATE_Actions Execution halted, action L"PatchFiles" returned 1603
