Actually, I found a setting to fix this, but it doesn't explain why it's
inverted compared to when I installed it under windows, feel free to close I
guess.

I don't see this on the current versions:  MUSHClient 4.43 and Wine 1.1.36

Is anyone still seeing this bug?

This bug has been fixed for a while. Tested version 437 from comment 0.
