For what it's worth, namecheap.com does GeoTrust SSL certificates for $10 - cheapest I've found anywhere, and they work fine.

I'd also like to upgrade to the latest Moin at that time as well.

I don't think an invalid SSL configured should be considered a resolution, there's still a bug to fix.
