Bug ID: 42173 Summary: Diablo 3 channeling/moving issue Product: Wine Version: 2.0-rc3 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: russell.josephrussell@gmail.com Distribution: ---
Possible bug?
Diablo III has just recently updated to 2.4.3 and aside from the d3d issue forcing users to downgrade from 64 bit to 32 bit version I have encountered an issue and I'm curious if anybody else has as well. It's random when it strikes but happens every time I play since the update. When I right click to channel a spell or click and hold to move it seems as though the click is released. If moving the point of the click is where your character walks to and then stops and you have to click and hold again. When channeling you right click and hold and it shoots a burst then just stops. I did not have this issue before until Diablo upgrade to 2.4.3. Just curious if anybody else is experiencing it or has a solution. There is no error that pops up it just happens and affects quality of game play.

Is there a bug report for that?

I don't think so.

--- Comment #3 from Joe Russell russell.josephrussell@gmail.com --- There was an issue previously reported on here from 2014 I believe about a d3d error. Not sure it's the same error now as it was marked as fixed previously until the update to 2.0-rc3 and the Blizzard update to 2.4.3. It was working fine previously until they updated to 2.4.3...

--- Comment #4 from Joe Russell russell.josephrussell@gmail.com --- Update:
So after thinking it could have been my mouse (it was 4 years old roughly) I went out and bought a new mouse (needed it anyway) (corsair scimitar) and started playing. The game worked smoothly. No issues UNTIL I started to use diablo's audio chat. After using the in game audio chat with a buddy of mine who was in the same game with me I ran into the moving and channeling issue where it seems as though the mouse button was being released. When I exited the game and closed battle.net down completely and restarted it, quit the audio chat and started a new game without it the game worked fine. Not sure what the issue could be or if someone else can replicate it, maybe it's just me. Thanks in advance!
