--- Comment #1 from Jeff Zaroyko jeffz@jeffz.name 2010-07-26 20:29:47 --- does anything change if you cd to the install directory and then start it?
cd ~/.wine/drive_c/Facade/util/sources/facade wine animEngineStarter.exe
(presuming that is the correct executable for starting the game)

cd ~/.wine/drive_c/Facade/util/sources/facade wine animEngineStarter.exe

It actually does, however: The starter "Façade.lnk" executes "C:\Facade\util\sources\facade\animEngineStarter.exe" without entering "C:\Facade\util\sources\facade", so I believe it's safe to assume that the expected behaviour doesn't quite apply here.
entering "C:\Facade\util\sources\facade" and running "animEngineStarter.exe" does infact start the game without any notable errors (that is, I haven't found any yet)

update: the game starts, but doesn't display any graphics but sounds work (blank black screen) (should I open a new bug for that?)

I think you'll find on windows that if you examine the .lnk (shortcut) it will say: "Start in c:\Facade\util\sources\facade". Many applications rely on this and crash even though it is trivial not to.

Yeah. Let's resolve this one invalid.
