--- Comment #1 from Gijs Vermeulen gijsvrm@gmail.com --- Note that the app autostarts after installation and is installed in a non-typical location, drive_c/users/<user>/AppData/Local/Programs/CaptureAge.
I can confirm the crash with wine-6.13, but not with wine-staging-6.13.
It would be nice to find out which patchset(s) fix the problem.
Adding a stable download even though the app will try to update itself.

Yes the auto update at start makes it hard to make tests reproducible since I haven't found a way to disable it so far.
I managed to get CaptureAge 1.4.5 to run (but not able to actually show replays) with Proton 6.3, so I guess with a few workaround it should also be possible to run it with wine.

--- Comment #3 from Raphael raphael.nestler@gmail.com --- @Gijs it sitll crashes for me at startup with wine 6.16 for me. I tested with 1.4.7 which is the latest version.

--- Comment #4 from Raphael raphael.nestler@gmail.com --- CaptureAge 1.5.5 still crashes during startup with wine 7.17.

--- Comment #5 from Raphael raphael.nestler@gmail.com --- According to https://www.reddit.com/r/aoe2/comments/mdvsrc/comment/gsbrzzt/?utm_source=sh... capture age uses a chromium based web browser for rendering. This may be relevant since chrome itself also doesn't run well with wine: https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=41045
