Bug ID: 35501 Summary: Add winpcap to one of the test configurations Product: Wine-Testbot Version: unspecified Hardware: x86 OS: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: fgouget@codeweavers.com Classification: Unclassified
Some applications need winpcap support but the lack of winpcap in the WineTestBot VMs means it's not possible to validate the tests, which makes their acceptance in Wine more difficult.

--- Comment #1 from François Gouget fgouget@codeweavers.com --- It looks like winpcap can be found here: http://www.winpcap.org/

--- Comment #3 from François Gouget fgouget@codeweavers.com --- I installed winpcap on the WineTestBot's Windows XP (wxppro) and Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit (wvistau64) VMs.
It's somewhat temporary in that the next time I restore these VMs from backup I'll have to remember to reinstall it (but my thinking is that at that point I'm likely to also update the VMs with the latest Windows updates and redo the backups then).

--- Comment #4 from André H. nerv@dawncrow.de --- Now we have wpcap, but AJ removed my try to add tests for it. But don't remove it, maybe the time will come, and it might be usefull for my own tests even if they're not upstreamed. (Well, ok, you can remove it the next time it's too much effort to maintain it...)
