Bug #: 31819 Summary: Animated GIF images are rendered incorrectly Product: Wine Version: 1.5.13 Platform: x86 URL: http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=41594 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: trivial Priority: P2 Component: windowscodecs AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: djelinski1@gmail.com Classification: Unclassified
Continuation from bug 31596. Animated GIF images rendered by .NET PictureBox component are displayed incorrectly. First frame of animation looks good, the subsequent frames have some pieces missing. The download URL contains a sample .NET application with source that displays animated GIF image. That image was downloaded from here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graphics_Interchange_Format Guessing from the visual results and documentation, probably subsequent animation frames should be rendered over the previous ones, and are not. The application shows the same results with MS .NET and wine mono.

winetricks -q windowscodecs can't workaround it.
right, I cloned the bug without checking. winetricks gdiplus works around, at least for SQL Server Management Studio.
