This is a well documented bug in InstallShield:

Following the instructions here (for version 6) I removed the InstallShield
files and ran IkernelUpdate.exe

http://support.installshield.com/kb/files/Q108322/IkernelUpdate.exe

Afterwards, the Harry Potter demo and Sacrifice install without error.

Not every crash is a Wine bug ;-)

I've recorded the size and versions of the InstallShield files for each of these
installers and will attach for completeness.
