Summary: In Circuitmaker 2000 cloned part tries to pan down Product: Wine Version: 1.0-rc3 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: brodo@o2.pl
While using Circuitmaker 2000 pro - when I duplicate a part in a schematic editor near the bottom edge of the window this cloned part tries to "pan" down the working area in an uncotrollable way. The only thing to do is to stop the software and start again so one can loose an unsaved part of the job. So I must remember now not to clone schematic parts near the bottom edge of the Circuitmaker's schematic editor.

--- Comment #3 from Leland C. Scott kc8ldo@arrl.net 2008-07-25 17:43:06 --- I don't know if you mean by "cloned" you mean copy. When I tried to copy a part then paste it back into the schematic the copied part flashes rapidly in the upper left corner and you can't move it. I tried this with Wine 1.1.2 running on Fedora 8.

Exactly - I mean copying a part. When I do it in the middle of the screen it's OK, but when it's done near the edges the same error appears. Would you "vote" for this bug in the "Related actions" section ?

Please attach screenshot & terminal output.
I tried to get a snapshot, but it is not easy because onscreen schematic quickly pans/goes up (as duplicated part goes itself downward). After a second or so all we see is empty workspace with blinking "egg timer" instead a mouse pointer. It's position can be moved with a mouse.
Later, I issued at the terminal prompt:
/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/CircuitMaker 2000$ WINEDEBUG=+relay,+seh,+tid wine cirmaker.exe &> /tmp/output.txt
I tried to catch this bug .... but I could not ! It seems that this kind of debugging helped to avoid problem while slowing program execution. The size of /tmp/output.txt became appr. 200MB. Does it contain sth useful for us now ? Is there a less verbose debugging method that could unveil our bug back again ? Simply issuing "wine cirmaker.exe" yields normal program execution without any debugging messages.

Yes, it is :-(
Tried this yesterday, when a copied resistor went into the border zone. I closed the application and lost about 2 minutes of my work. Not much, because I'm saving my work as often as possible.
