This happened to me when I updated my Xorg server from
xorg-x11-6.8.2-31.i386.rpm to xorg-x11-6.8.2-37.FC4.49.2.i386.rpm Fedora Core 4
release. It looks like someone has inctroduced a patch to Xorg which broke some
Wine applications.
