Since update to 1.0.0.107 (Dec 13 2010) typing anything into the in game chat results in the client freezing. There are no errors messages displayed on the console. This worked in the previous LoL build.

I'm able to see the chat, but as soon as I press <Enter> to chat, or right after the game ends when the chat box automatically appears, the game freezes. However when it's other people chatting there's no problem at all.

--- Comment #14 from Joaquín Tumas j.tumas@gmail.com 2011-08-28 22:27:25 CDT --- As this game only lets you play with the last version, I think this bug should be set as fixed, as nobody could repeat the error conditions even if it was a game update. Any way, I had the error with older wine version and it was gone with the newer, so it probably was fixed by wine devs.
FYI: with ACE client the game is not longer working OK right now (can't join a match)
