There is no intro video being played upon starting the game. It's possible to skip the displayed blank screen and enter the game by hitting ESC.

The developer of the game has released a demo for Panzer Corps recently, download link added to url. (the demo contains only the developer logo in wmv format). The video in the demo is playing fine here, tested with 1.3.28 and 1.3.34 (clean wineprefix).

You have 64-bit gstreamer librries installed. This is not enough for 32-bit Wine. You can see which libraries are missing by comparing what 64-bit and what 32-bit packages install.
