[Bug 19350] New: right click context menu requires multiple left clicks, and multiple selections (control-or-shift) selecting is buggy

When using flashfxp, connecting to a remote ftp site and then a list of the
files/folders on the remote site will appear.

At first, when an attampt is made to select multiple files (while holding
control or shift to select them) several clicks on a single file must be made
first in order to then complete this action.

secondly, when right clicking and bringing up a context menu, it requires 2
left clicks on any item in the menu to select that action versus the standard
one click.

Can't fully reproduce that on 1.1.26 and FlashFXP 3.6.0 (what version are you
trying with?).
Ctrl + Click selection works fine there, using shift only moves focus and
doesn't 
touch selection. I never tried it on Win, should Shift select a range?

Context menu shows up fine for me. Right down selects item, right up shows
menu.

version 3.7.8 build 1332

the behavior of selecting multiple items and right clicking is pretty
erratic...
i can control click these days selecting multiple items (files or folders in
the list view), but cannot shift-select multiple files at all.
also, when i right-click to delete a folder on the ftp site, the right click
menu stays up for a really long time and the menu items on it are themselves,
not clickable.

I can confirm this bug in wine-1.3.37-139-gd676762.

To reproduce the bugs:
Open the EA FTP inside the program site manager.

To reproduce the SHIFT issue (happens only in the right pane):
Click on the first folder, hold shift and click in some other folder.
Only the first item will be selected, the other items will not.

To reproduce the CTRL issue (most of the times it happens in left pane, if it
does not happen try the right pane):
Select the first item, hold ctrl, press down arrow and space bar.
The second (or any other item) will not be selected.

To reproduce the MENU multiple clicks (happens only in the right pane):
Press the right mouse button to get into the context menu, select ARRANGE ICONS
-> NAME.
The menu will blink instead of disappearing so you can select a second
operation or click outside it to make it disappear.

There is another bug where the item does not repaint itself (happens only in
the left pane):
Select the last item, press the UP arrow till the first item.
Every label will be erased on each new item selection.

I have added the download link for this older version. Windows does not have
any of these problems.

Context menu requiring multiple clicks is already covered by recently fixed bug
13417. Selecting ranges with shift-clicking still fails in current git as
described in comment 4.

ctrl+space selection fails with native comctl32 as well. If it works under
Windows, it may be related to bug 15083.
Shift+click selection should be fixed with these two patches:

The first patch was commited long ago, the second was possibly rejected.

Comment 4 still stands in wine 1.7.33, the only issue resolved (not in bug
