Unfortunately this output cuts off before the debug trace log runs because wine freezes so I have to kill it.

Of course it will. Do you have anything more in the terminal now?

In Wine-1.3.7 the first video (the company logo) is playing fine now. The next one, the actual intro movie is still not played: 'Could not find output pin! hr=0x8004001' says Wine. Afterwards a crash dialogue is shown but no usable backtrace is generated.

--- Comment #10 from Kyle Towns ktowns@live.com.au 2011-05-19 23:39:38 CDT --- I was having the same issue. This issue can be directly by passed by navigating to the video directory e.g. (wineprefixlocation)\drive_c\Program Files\Terminal Reality\BloodRayne\video and renaming or deleting the Cutscene.exe file.
The issue appears to be directly related to Wine's lack of MPEG1 support. Is this ever going to be implemented? =/
Terminal output confirming this bug's existence attached, along with screencaps of dialog boxes w/ errors.

Does native quartz (and potentially devenum/wmp9) help?
I set native quartz and the developers credits played, but it crashed afterwards. I'm afraid that I'm a n00b and mostly using PlayOnLinux - I was able to enable quartz but how do I try devenum/wmp9? Command line will do.
Also, I discovered the 1.3 beta and upgraded.
