After 5b60f4649b1 [1], some graphics are acting weird in Final Fantasy XI
Online.

Some special effects make models transparent at least partially, or
replaced/overlayed(?) with other ones, while for others, it depends just on the
camera/view angle.

I can prepare video/screenshots if that will be of more help than this
description.

Actually, that "replaced/overlayed(?)" issue seems to be something else; it
does not yet happen in this commit.

Huh, okay, no idea what went wrong, and I didn't get around to debugging it
yet, but seems plausible enough that I fixed my own error there :-)

Yeah, I still want to get the trace sorted and all.  Maybe it would still be
interesting to see what was happening actually.
