In Word/Excel File->Properties dialog.
When I type something in a text box and press TAB, the next text box becomes
active (as expected). But before that the tab symbol is inserted into the first
text box.

Doesn't happen here. Is this a clean install of Office 2003: no winetricks or
other tweaks?

Clean install. Office 2003 sp3. Tried rus/eng. See video:

This ticket has not been updated for over 900 days.

Is this still an issue in wine version 1.6-rc3 or higher or is this to be
closed as abandoned ?

Confirming. Still present in wine-1.7.29.

If there are already filled-in values, than if cursor is at the beginning of
that world, TAB will be inserted before that word and cursor jumps to the next
field.
