FD log on first run

Version wine-1.1.27-63-g862bd3c

Priority set to normal because of total loss of functionality: a feed reader
that can't sync feeds is useless.

Steps to reproduce:
1- clean wine prefix, download app from URL, install it
2- on first run, skip account check to work around bug 19693
3- make it import default feeds
As soon as the wizard ends and FeedDemon tries to sync the feeds, it crashes.
After closing the error messagebox, it reappears suddenly, probably because of
second attempt. But that's the last and after this, it doesn't crash anymore.

The error messagebox doesn't seem to report anything useful.
Attached is the log created following the steps.

FD log on first run with native msxml3

I set msxml3 as component because of my successive try: i did "winetricks
msxml3" before running FD.
Log is attached, but the problem is resolved, and FD seems even a little bit
faster than on WinXp.
If this bug and the other i reported are fixed, you can Probably give FeedDemon
a Platinum rating :)

Again, i stand corrected: there are many more quirks that make it less usable
but i will test them more later to file another bug. I couldn't see them till
now because of this one.

Let's keep the comments focused on this bug, please.

To be clear:  FeedDemon cannot sync feeds, but with native msxml3 it can?  In
that case, it's pretty clearly an msxml3 bug.  The relevant lines from the log
appear to be:
XPath error : Undefined namespace prefix
xmlXPathEval: evaluation failed

Exactly.
I set msxml3 as component because of this, but it has been removed...

FeedDemon console log on first run

wine-1.1.38-258-g716358c, clean wineprefix

After having installed FD 3.1.0.12, attached is the log on first run.
It still shows the same problem: if you let the wizard import default
subsciptions, it can't synchro them. This happens for the other choices as well
because it supposedly can't parse the xml files.

FeedDemon console log on first run with native msxml3

wine-1.1.38-258-g716358c, native msxml3

Using 'winetricks msxml3' on a clean wineprefix lets FeedDemon work with xml
files and synchro the subscriptions.

As requested, with wine 1.2-rc2
I let it add some default feeds in the first run, and now crashes like this
every time.

FD 3.1.0.30 run with WINEDEBUG=+msxml

Wine 1.2-rc4
FeedDemon 3.1.0.30
Clean prefix (no native DLLs)

Install; run the first time not enabling synchronization but letting it add
some default subscription; enjoy its crash :(

I hope at least in figuring out what's wrong...

Yes, it's possible to implement transforms with libxslt and it's already done
for DOM methods. I don't know how complicated could it be for IXSLTemplate and
IXSLProcessor, didn't read specs yet.

Try with 1.3.14 please. I don't see any crash with it, not sure it functions
properly though - shows me a crash message on application window regarding
msxml3.

Sync problem has indeed been fixed, tried it now with 1.3.32 & FD 4.0.0.22.
Still, it doesn't show the contents of the feeds, as builtin msxml3 doesn't
seem to like the syntax, but that's another bug.
