The update screen (where you have to select between close, update, or go
offline) shows a white screen on wine 5.0 RC3, I don't have RC1, 2 or 4.21
handy on my system right now but it works with wine 4.20.1. I cant check
anymore since I already updated to the latest version.
The update process still doesn't work (at least most of the time) so I had to
use https://github.com/DrDoctor13/wine-origin-updater, but at least in 4.20 the
window shows useful information and I can take action.

since Wine 5.0-rc2 origin always starts in offline mode and I am unable to play
any game(verified rc1 works for me), this is possibly related to this. should I
open another bug? I think they would be duplicates.

Hello,

Duplicate of 48357.

The white screen is a symptom of a pending update + broken connection.

I confirm I have a white screen in origin with wine-5.0-rc4.

Updating to wine-5.0-rc5 fixed the issue for me.

Please, update to wine-5.0-rc5.

ok, rc5 isn't available on arch linux (yet) so I assumed it wasn't fixed yet, I
missed that patch in the patch notes.
