The CD main installer fails, but if you are interested only to the "Sony Image Data Suite" (IDS) you can install entering the corresponding directory and using the specific setup.exe. In my case it worked.
(the bug still remains for the main CD setup.exe)

Is this still an issue in current (1.1.26 or newer) wine?
This was fixed by a4037eb463651db652fa84dc7d5f73ef3e67440e over a year ago. Tommasco, please don't run wine 1.0.1.
