Summary: Heroes of Might and Magic V - Cursor error Product: Wine Version: 1.1.3 Platform: PC-x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: spider@alternating.net
Worked perfectly in previous version, but now the cursor seems "locked" to either the top part of the screen or the bottom part, and you cannot reliably click on anything in the game. This is a regression since previous version.

--- Comment #1 from Jeff Zaroyko jeffz@jeffz.name 2008-12-07 20:10:01 --- Please retest in Wine 1.1.10
If the problem is still present, please run a regression test http://wiki.winehq.org/RegressionTesting and post the results so that the problem can be investigated.

--- Comment #2 from Spider spider@alternating.net 2008-12-08 10:30:46 --- Tested 1.1.10 and it didn't work, I'll see if I find time/energy to do a bisect of it.

--- Comment #4 from winebugzilla@taz.net.au winebugzilla@taz.net.au 2010-01-06 18:48:38 --- I have the same problem with wine 1.1.32 on debian sid (amd64).
the cursor will move around if i move the mouse vigorously but it immediately snaps back to a small region in the center of the screen or window. this makes it impossible to click on any of the menu items, so can't start a game. can't even click on the OK button when pressing Esc to exit the game...have to kill HOMM5 from a terminal.

This is no longer an issue in current git (1.2-rc7). The cursor works as expected.
After extended playing, the cursor behaviour described here does not happen anymore. However, there is still some issues with the cursor (http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23655)
