With native riched20.dll and riched32.dll, I get a bit further. Splash appears, and then program crashes. Splash was not present before.

Run log with native riched
you have to set them to native using winecfg. from your log i can see there are still fixme's from riched20.dll, so you're still using builtin riched.

Alright, sorry. Riched is now native. The log is much shorter now, but now I don't even get the splash. It just crashes outright.

If Maya worked with Wine 0.9.42, but not 0.9.43, then please do a regression test between the two versions and see what broke it:

Anyway, the bug in riched20 (which makes you use native version) was already solved in current git.
