Summary: WineCFG very slow when network is up Product: Wine Version: 1.1.0 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: critical Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: massimo.gengarelli@gmail.com
I'm using a Gentoo Linux. I had everything working since I upgraded my system.
From then, wine takes up to five minutes to load anything, even winecfg.
No errors are given, just very slow.
When network is down, everything is working well.

Do not have any printer connected.
That's not what I asked. Connect != configured. I repeat the question do you have any network printers configured in CUPS?
Have you tried removing/renaming ~/.wine directory?

--- Comment #5 from Massimo massimo.gengarelli@gmail.com 2008-07-27 14:52:15 --- I do not have any printer configured in CUPS, since the moment I don't even have a printer :P
I tried removing, renaming, recreating the $HOME/.wine, didn't work. Even tried downgrading, upgrading to 1.1.2 compiling from scratch or using the tool included in file .tar.bz2.
Tried just now to re-emerge world, checking dependencies, ldconfig, .. everything seems fine, except this huge latency.

Well ok. Even if I didn't have any printer configured in CUPS, the service wasn't started. Starting it seems to solve the problem.
Thank you for your help, very kind! :)
