Summary: SR 3D LDraw application uses .net 2.0 and Directx9, does not work once installed Product: Wine Version: unspecified Platform: x86-64 URL: http://staff.polito.it/sergio.reano/ OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P3 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: danfoxdavies@googlemail.com
Created an attachment (id=26782) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=26782) Output from the terminal on trying to run SR 3D
SR 3D is a program for 3D design using the LDraw Lego parts library.
On my initial attempt to install, the installer blocked me insisting on the installation of Microsoft .net Framework 2.0 - once I downloaded and installed that, the .net 2.0 installer threw an error. I ignored this in case SR 3D would work anyway, and this time the SR 3D installer worked. However, on attempting to actually launch the installed program, it immediately gave me 'The program SR3DBuilder.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close'.

--- Comment #1 from Andrew Nguyen arethusa26@gmail.com 2010-03-13 09:23:54 --- This is a duplicate of bug 10467. You need to use winetricks (http://wiki.winehq.org/winetricks) to install the .NET Framework 2.0. Also, in the future, specify the Wine version you are using and see http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#head-3b297df7a5411abe2b8d37fead01a2b8edc21619 for the correct procedure for running Windows applications from the terminal.
