Summary: PES2009 immediate crash on launch Product: Wine Version: CVS/GIT Platform: PC-x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: directx-d3d AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: albert.garry@ymail.com
Created an attachment (id=18184) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=18184) wine output, command used : wine pes2009.exe
Launching the game (wine pes2009.exe) lead to an immediate crash.
No intro, trademark or menu are displayed.
Attached is the backtrace (seems to me that a directx function is missing, even as a stub).

--- Comment #1 from joaopa jeremielapuree@yahoo.fr 2008-12-26 00:36:26 --- As a workaround, you can put a native d3dx9_36 dll (if you have a windows license) in the .wine/drive_c/windows/system32 folder.

--- Comment #2 from Garry albert.garry@ymail.com 2008-12-27 14:23:33 --- Created an attachment (id=18248) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=18248) Console output after key press on first "menu"
I tried this workaround.
This time the game start fine and display an intro, then a screen. When i press a key, the game freezes.
It seems to me it is the same problem as bug 15639.
Console output attached (wine version : wine-1.1.11-153-g424cb27).
Thank you for your help. I don't know how to move toward this problem.

--- Comment #3 from Garry albert.garry@ymail.com 2008-12-27 15:34:36 --- Created an attachment (id=18252) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=18252) Extract from a WINEDUG command
My previous report was quite wrong : the console output is already displayed before I press the key. So I think it is useless.
I tried to come with a more useful bit of information. Attached is an extract of the log resulting from :
WINEDEBUG=+actctx,+atom,+comm,+computername,+console,+debugstr,+dll,+dosmem,+environ, +file,+fixup,+global,+int,+io,+loaddll,+local,+module,+nls,+powermgnt,+process,+profile, +reg,+resource,+seh,+selector,+snoop,+stress,+sync,+syslevel,+system,+tape,+task,+thread, +thunk,+time,+toolhelp,+ver,+volume,+vxd,+Heap
+relay produce a HUGE log file (like 500MB expanding over an over)
I understand almost nothing to the log, but it seems to me that a pattern comes again and again.
A useful information a can give is : even if the game is frozen, the log file is expanding endlessly...
