I can't start Natura Sound Therapy 3.0 (Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy). Error message box: "Exception EExternalException in module ntdll.dll at 0002CC48. External extension in C0000025. " Please HELP!

It did not help ... Now when you run so these errors: "Exception EExternalException in module ~gs1971.tmp at 0001FC6B. Access violation at address ..."
"Error loading dll."
and
"Run time error 216 ...."

and it has the same bug.
looks like at least a partial duplicate of http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15437
As a work-around I did :
rm -rf /home/louis/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32/user32.dll rm -rf /home/louis/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32/kernel32.dll
Then the crash is gone, but the app hangs as it cannot find framedyn.dll. After copying it over from my windowspartition a kind of Debugger window shows up. Hormold, is that the actual application (that window) or is something else supposed to show up?

Thank you. I have no more errors, but the program does not work ... What should be: http://idcom.com/i/dl/media/dlimage/14/04/94/140494_large.jpeg But version 2 - it works ...

the initial report from OP was due to missing Microsoft Data Access Objects (DAO) components. That's obviously not part of the OS, you have to install it on your own: 'winetricks -q mdac28'
Next problem is bug 15437 If you work around by deleting 'kernel32.dll' and 'user32.dll' fake/placeholders the app starts fine.
Resolving as dupe of bug 15437
