backtrace of problem with Kindle in Wine

Wine opens Kindle; however, when I click on a book icon, the program closes
abruptly.  Again the program opens fine.  Can't read any books, though.  I also
have Kindle in another linux operating on same computer, Zorin 9.1.  Kindle
works fine in Zorin, but when I attempt to use the program in the new Linux
Mint 17+ the program doesn't work.

Not an AppDB bug, and not critical.

Your Wine version is old; upgrade, and try a clean wineprefix.

Reading Kindle books works fine here in 1.7.40.

I downloaded and installed newest Wine as directed, then downloaded and
installed new Kindle.  Problem is still present.

No response to question in well over a year, and I can't reproduce. My guess
from the description is that this is a duplicate of bug 29045, but there's not
enough info here to say that for sure.

Marking WORKSFORME; reopen if this is still and issue for you in 2.0-rc3 or
later and you can verify that this happens even with the required corefonts
installed.
