Hi!

My installation of Office2003 is still broken (Wine 1.1.2-last GIT). I did not
test previous versions because I know it was broken for other issues and I
would not have any git bisect good.

Here the details:
Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003
System Builder, German Version, copyright 2004.
Tested: Custom installation without Outlook and Access (here must be noted that
access is installing although I said no).

It is crashing after a very quick message about typelib libraries.
However, if you start the installation again, it is going through, even
installing what I didn't want to install (i.e. it makes a repair install
although I selected to start the full installation again).

Attached 2 logs:
First installation with crash
Second installation (repair) where the installation successfully ends.

Sorry, I will pass on the regression test. I know the last break that occurred
in Office was 0.9.61 and had been fixed after Wine 1.0 and to get a bisect good
I will have to go back that far (at least to 0.9.60). For such a big test, I do
not have time at the moment. Maybe next week if nobody jumped on the train.

Using Friday's git with the English professional version and a typical install
works fine. Can you try in current git with a typical install?

Is this the same as bug 14993? That one appears to be for the Spanish version,
but it too fails at the same point, registering a typelib.

Someone on the forum also reported this problem with the Spanish version of
Office 2003, and their console output showed the same typelib registration

It may be the same, although my message is a bit more cryptic (like instead of
that the installation couldn't finish because of an error, I am prompted to
send a message to MS). I only know it is at the end because of skipping this
error when starting the installation again.

In my case it is definitely a regression.

I just tested installing MS Office 2003 with wine 1.1.10 and it works great.
Maybe it's time to close this bug?

If you have tested a German version, you can close it (I can't test it now).
The fact is that the problematic typelib (if you look on the internet), is only
found on German and Spanish versions.

Other office versions seem to be fine.

Yes, I tested the German version.
Looks like I can not close this bug as I am neither the reporter of the bug nor
a wine developer...
