Game installs fine but when you run it, the copy protection dialogue only
allows you to enter 4 characters per box when it should be 5.

What is meant to happen, as I tested in native Windows XP, is when you type the
fifth character the cursor jumps over to the next box.

Might be a font problem somehow, as it was in bug 9924.

Mmmm, the symptoms are the same.  I tried applying Lei Zhang's patch and
fiddling with the font DPI to no avail.

Does "font problem" mean "not a bug in wine"?

"Font problem" doesn't mean "not a bug in wine", it's just a suspicion
about the cause...

Just in case, can you see if
  wget http://kegel.com/wine/winetricks
  sh winetricks allfonts
helps?  Chances are slim, but it's worth a try.

Oh we've been over this - duplicate of bug 5646.

My patch only works for the "ip address control", it won't fix the problem with
every edit control out there.
