Soldier of fortune is a pure OpenGL game (it is based on Quake II). Any
rendering issues you are seeing are due to display driver bugs. Most likely you
will see exactly the same rendering issues using the Linux version of the game
(if you can obtain it in a legal way).

I have tried other games. and they seem to have the same problem. with
textures. I can't seem to fine drivers that work thought. I have an Intel 865
extreame graphics card.

This ticket has not been updated for over 900 days.

Is this still an issue in wine version 1.6-rc3 or higher or is this to be
closed as abandoned ?
