When starting the setup.exe from Axis&Allies with current wine (1.1.35), the setup crashes. For a short time I see a back trace, the it exits.

Hi, i can't confirm this bug report. Autorun.exe and also setup.exe don't have any problem with installation.
Tested under wine-1.1.35 and wine-1.1.36 - both versions install the game correctly.

From the backtrace of the original reporter, it shows 16bit code is executed,
winevdm is running also. Maybe yours is a different setup? You could check by tracing the functions mentioned in the backtrace if you wanted to find out.
