A) Did you run as sudo/root at any time?
B) Perhaps it needs this registry key created?
"Error: Regedit Open() failed: SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\NetworkCards"

Austin, I'll try the suggestions on running as sudo and also the registry
change and report back.

Jeff, Thanks for the comment.  This is my first bug report and was not sure as
to how to classify it.  I have a better understanding now for future bugs.

Actually, that wasn't a suggestion to do so. Wine should be run as a regular
user, NOT sudo/root.

I didn't run it initially as sudo/root (I thought you were asking to run it as
sudo).

I created a NetworkCards registry entry but still get the same failure.
