--- Comment #1 from Fabian Maurer dark.shadow4@web.de --- There's no dump attached. Please provide a full log, including backtrace.
If the program is free, download link and instructions to reproduce are always good.
What did you change in the meantime? Did you upgrade wine?

I am not very familiar with Linux & Wine, but I think you wanted the Program error details that came up when I tried to start e-Sword.

--- Comment #4 from Zebediah Figura z.figura12@gmail.com --- Your wine version is ancient; please update to 3.0 or later.
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46173
--- Comment #5 from Ed Micheli skyfats@gmail.com --- I have spent 12 to 15 hours trying to update Wine on my Linux Lite laptop. Synaptic thinks the ancient version is the latest. I have tried uninstalling Wine and reinstalling. Tried everything I could find on and internet search. No help so far. The problem seems to be that neither Synaptic nor any of the online posters know where the latest Wine software packages are. I have tried many places. I really want this to work, so I would appreciate any help you can give. Thank you. Ed Micheli

--- Comment #6 from Zebediah Figura z.figura12@gmail.com --- You can install it from the WineHQ PPA; see https://wiki.winehq.org/Download for instructions.

--- Comment #7 from Zebediah Figura z.figura12@gmail.com --- Software available from https://www.e-sword.net/downloads.html seems to work fine for me on wine 3.21.

--- Comment #10 from Anastasius Focht focht@gmx.net --- Hello folks,
completing some fields.
It was a regression caused by commit https://source.winehq.org/git/wine.git/commitdiff/5b56624a1bc6d4ff7768f15700... ("wininet: Handle secure proxy connections inside the main loop.").
Part of Wine 1.7.19 release.
It was fixed by commit https://source.winehq.org/git/wine.git/commitdiff/e73f5782ff38dc69e0c16752c8... ("wininet: Moved more redirect URL handling to a helper function and get rid of its maximum size assumption.").
Part of Wine 1.9.11 release.
Thanks Jacek
